About WBT

We are mainly a bedroom community of a little over 7,755 people. The Township consists of about 13.248 square miles.  We are located between the east and west branches of the Brandywine River.  Click here for the 2010 West Brandywine Township's Demographics.

The Township has a full time Police Department and maintains over 31 miles of Township roads.  There is also a municipal utilities system operated by the Township Municipal Authority.  Full time office staff and the Township Manager (Ronald A. Rambo, Jr.) are available during the workweek.
 
West Brandywine is a part of the

Coatesville Area School District. Two elementary schools and one middle school for the district are located within West Brandywine Township.

Pope John Paul II Regional Cathoic Elementary School is located on Route 82 in West Brandywine Township.

Collegium Charter School located in Exton, is a tuition-free charter school, while not located in West Brandywine Township, Collegium educates many students from West Brandywine and transportation is provided.
